The old musicians stay where they are and become like museum pieces under glass, safe, easy to understand, playing that tired old shit over and over again…. bebop was about change, about evolution. It wasn’t about standing still and becoming safe. If anybody wants to keep creating they have to be about change.
Don’t be afraid. What I mean by that is lots and lots of decisions are made by fear and they’re made by people who think they have more to lose than they actually have to lose.

But everybody just has a very hard time calculating the actual risk. People just greatly miscalculate risk, in my opinion. They are too afraid of things.

Boxcar FARM. It’s real-time streaming of your notifications using WebSockets. In this case using Google Chrome.
Why’d I call it the farm? Truthfully I have no freaking idea. I just felt like naming it something other than “Boxcar Real Time Streaming WebSockets Faster Than Ever.”
Cool stuff though. I have a few things in mind I’d like to build or see built.

The generation that is growing up with touch screens integrated with their lives are going to have a completely different experience than we had with keyboards and mice. Very cool.

The last 5 days in San Jose and SF can be summed up with pretty much one word: interesting.
We’ll see what happens, but I haven’t been this excited about new stuff for Boxcar in quite awhile.
